Ellen Marx (Winters)

OBITUARY 1993

Ellen Marx Winters, 47, of Brick Township, died Friday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.  She worked for the Eatontown Board of Education from 1967 to 1979.  She then became a first grade teacher in Hazlet Township, most recently at the Lillian Drive School.  She was a member of the New Jersey Education Association and a life member of the Chai Chamber of Hadassah.  She was born in Long Branch and lived in the Shore area until moving to Brick in 1974.  She was a 1963 Asbury Park High School graduate and received a bachelor’s degree from Jersey City State College in 1967. 

Her father, Monroe Marx, died in November.  Surviving are her twin sons, Scott and Michael Winters; her mother Ruth Marx, Tinton Falls; a brother Joseph Marx, Tinton Falls, and a sister Barbara Longo, Wall Township.
