Lucille M. Peluso, 67, of Neptune passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 in Neptune Rehab Center, Neptune. Born in Neptune, Lucille had lived in Asbury Park and was a lifelong shore resident. She was a graduate of Montclair College, Panzer School of Physical Education. Lucille worked as a secretary for various companies over the years. She also had her own clothing store during the 1970's at Peddlers' Village called "Sasafras." Lucille was a member of the Italian American Club of Neptune and was very active in Kiwanis charitable events.
Lucille was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Martha Peluso; she is survived by her children, David Tafara and his wife, Anne of Neptune and Christine Johnson and her husband Gordon of Lakewood; three brothers, Vincent Peluso of W. Palm Beach, FL, Joseph Peluso of Plantation, FL and Guy Peluso of W. Long Branch; four grandchildren, Robert Johnson, Marsha Tafara, Rachelle Tafara and Andres Tafara; two great grandchildren, Rhya and Kaden Johnson; and a precious friend, Denise Wildeman of Long Branch.
Visitation will be on Friday, from 4 - 7 pm in Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Avenue, Asbury Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30 am in Holy Spirit Church, Second Avenue, Asbury Park. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association , P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
