EUGENE S. HARTWELL

Eugene S. Hartwell, 54, of Asbury Park, died Saturday at New Jersey Health Care System, East Orange.  He was last employed as a truck driver for Ron-Stat, Eatontown.  He was an Army veteran.  Born in Columbia, S.C., he was a lifelong resident of the Shore area.

Surviving are his parents Aaron Eugene and Laura Hartwell of Asbury Park, his step mother, Vernell Hartwell of Asbury Park, a son, Hanse Smith of Asbury Park, a brother Anthony of Baltimore, three sisters, Rudy Canzater of Columbia, S.C., Gloria Hartwell of Alexandria, Va., and Frances Bennett of Asbury Park, and three grandchildren.
