John Mazza

OBITUARY 2004

John Victor Mazza, 59, of Wall, died suddenly at his home Friday December 24, 2004.  John retired from Verizon in 2001 after 35 years of service.  He was currently employed for 12 years by H.M.S. Host Gladieux Corp. in Cheesequake.  He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Asbury Park.  Mr. Mazza was an Army veteran during the Vietnam War.  He was an active member of the New Jersey Light House Society for the past five years.  He will be surely missed by his family and many friends.  John was a very ‘Gentle-man’.  Born and raised in Asbury Park, he moved to Wall in 1973. 

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Rose Mazza, and a sister, Conchietta Newman.  Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Susan Bruno Mazza; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Kenneth Hawxshurst of Farmingdale, and Natalie and Michael Miles of Lakehurst; and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria and Wilmont Baker, and Rose Marie and John Pastizzo, all of Cathedral City, Calif., and May Ann and Richard DeLisa of Wall.
